Nursery and Kindergarten Admission

Children are eligible for our mixed-age Early Childhood Programs (Nursery and Kindergarten) when they will be 3 years old by September of the year they enroll.

Applications for each upcoming school year are accepted beginning the the Autumn months in the year prior to September enrollment.

While there is no specific deadline and applications are accepted throughout the year until classes are full applying no later than the end of February is highly encouraged. Open space in our Early Childhood Programs is extremely limited and each year there is a wait list.

Our Nursery and Kindergarten classes are currently full for the 2022-2023 school year. However, interested families are welcome to apply to be placed on the wait list.

Hawthorne Valley uses Blackbaud to process online applications. Create your login and the system will guide you through the process of submitting your application and uploading reports. Once your documents are reviewed and approved, we will reach out with details for next steps.

Once your child’s application is received, the Department Chair of the Early Childhood program, Janene Ping, will contact you to arrange a meeting with you and your child.

After your meeting, Mrs. Ping will follow up with an email notifying you of your child’s acceptance status. If your child is accepted, you will then be sent an enrollment agreement from the school’s registrar and a request for a deposit to hold your child’s space.
