Congratulations to 9th Grader Francis Conners-Schmid on making the Canes National Baseball Team. Over the summer, Francis was chosen to attend the Perfect Game Select Fest, which is a selection of the top 48 players in the world from the Class of 2028. Players from the United States, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Australia, and the Dominican Republic, among other countries, were included. Francis was honored as the Breakout Player of the Year at the PG Select Fest (the photo above shows him on the right with his fellow awardees). He is currently ranked as 15th in the world and 1st in New York. At the PG National Showcase, Francis also recorded a world record exit velocity of 104 mph off the tee for his age group. Francis is excited to play with his fellow teammates on the Canes National team, and is looking forward to continuing to work really hard to achieve his future goals. |
