Soul & Spirit Forces Shaping Gender & Identity in Today’s World

Hawthorne Valley Waldorf School is pleased to host a talk by River Parker and David Schwartz.

In a world filled with polarization and division, it is essential that we are able to discuss and discover new ways of understanding what it means to be human together in the 21st century. There is an awakening, a changing landscape in how many people experience gender and explore these manifestations in physical, social, and soul realms. Out of this process has risen the need for all of us to examine long-held beliefs, our own personal experiences, and learned perspectives about gender, identity, and expression. As a queer anthroposophist and social worker, River weaves together the legacy of the LGBTQ+ movement, transformative and restorative practices, and the spiritual nature of reality to provide big- and small-picture frameworks for navigating this new landscape. Whether you are a parent, a teacher, a counselor, a business owner, an artist, or any interested party, this talk will offer a chance to think about gender experiences in a new light.

This event is sponsored by the Camphill Association of North America – donations are welcome to support their work.
