These include the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra, the Mexico City Philharmonic, and most recently Assistant Principal of the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra. He has performed in the most celebrated concert halls of the world including the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, the Musikverein in Vienna, and the Konzerthaus Berlin, and toured with artists including Sting, Hillary Hahn, Rene Flemming, Jose Carreras, Rostropovitch, and Pavarotti. David also performed and recorded chamber music regularly with various ensembles and as a soloist, and can be heard on many film and television soundtracks, including the Hobbit trilogy.

As a teacher David has worked with students of all ages. He was a faculty member of the University of Veracruz, the National Autonomous University of Mexico, and the University of Guanajuato, and was guest faculty with the New Zealand School of Music. David taught all subjects K-12 in the Henry County, VA schools as a substitute teacher for one year, and taught music and woodworking classes at Upper Valley Waldorf School in Vermont for four years. In Vermont, he maintained a private music studio of 40 students, grades 3-8. While living in Mexico, David shepherded his daughter through High School and into Smith College with a Waldorf-inspired homeschooling program.

David began teaching music at HVS in 2021, and has worked as a math specialist with the Hickory Program since 2023. He enjoys gardening, hiking, and spending time with family in the beautiful Hudson Valley.
