Meaghan McKenna
Grade 5 Teacher, Lower School Co-Chair
Meaghan has been teaching in Waldorf schools since 2006 and at Hawthorne Valley since 2013. She has taught a vast age range from the youngest preschool children through adults in teacher training. Her favorite thing about Waldorf education is that it allows a teacher to look at each child as a deeply unique individual with varied gifts and challenges. Meaghan graduated cum laude from Harvard University with a Bachelor’s degree in the Social Sciences. She has a Master’s degree in Education (with a Waldorf focus) from Antioch University. Meaghan is interested in the arts, cooking, writing, meditation, and psychology. She takes long road trips each summer with her three children, when they enjoy beach camping, hunting down natural springs, and exploring the South.
