Rebecca Conroy

Rebecca Conroy grew up between New York City and Chicago. She received her B.A. from Mount Holyoke and Hampshire Colleges, and went on to work in the corporate fashion and indie film circles for years in New York City, focusing primarily on interior design and set styling. Continuing along that path, she received an M.F.A. from Columbia University in Film. She went on to teach film and photography within the public schools of New York City for years with Brooklyn Arts Council before moving upstate with her two children, where she continued to teach film at the college level. She then went on to get her Waldorf Teacher Training certificate from Antioch University of New England, and was fortunate to be mentored by the incredible teachers at Hawthorne Valley during the time of her practicum. She is currently in the practicum phase of her Orton Gillingham Associate level Literacy Specialist training. Her other passions include photography, paper crafting, cartooning, fashion styling, writing, traveling, geology, yoga, and making complex salads.
