Sarah Schaeffer

Athletic Director

Sarah Schaeffer is the Athletic Director at Hawthorne Valley Waldorf School. Sarah grew up on Long Island playing basketball, soccer, and lacrosse as well as being in competitive swimming. Growing up in a family of Division I collegiate athletes, Sarah saw the importance and benefits of dedication, focus, and perseverance in athletics. She was awarded an All-American honor in lacrosse in her senior year in high school and was selected to the prestigious North squad for the North vs. South national game. Sarah played Division I women's lacrosse at the University of Notre Dame, earning the ND monogram honors all 4 years. She now coaches lacrosse at the high school level in Massachusetts and thoroughly enjoys being involved in youth sports. She has 4 children who attend Hawthorne Valley Waldorf School, and is the daughter of longtime NY State Section 8 Athletic Director and former NY Cosmos professional soccer player, Paul LeSueur.
