Millay Arts is seeking a visual artist/sculptor and/or collaborative team for its inaugural FollyFields Residency. The FollyFields resident(s) will work on site (at least 3 days/week) at Hawthorne Valley Farm (327 County Route 21C, Ghent, NY) creating site-specific, temporary (6-12 months) public art work(s) in collaboration with the community.
We are especially interested in work that uses/incorporates natural/found/recycled materials in unexpected ways and aligns with Hawthorne Valley Farm's and Hawthorne Valley Farmscape Ecology Program's missions to cultivate compassionate relationships with the land and all its inhabitants.
