Early childhood through grade 12

Boys Modified Soccer

We started the season with a win against Germantown and had another win against Coxsackie-Athens. Dominick Vanegas led the team as captain and was an integral part of our offense and defense due to his game sense and power. We build good rapport and are starting to get more comfortable with each other on the field. This year, we primarily had 7th graders, so we have a lot of room to grow. We need to focus on communication on the field, finishing attacks, and controlling space on the field for next season.

Boys Varsity Soccer

The Varsity Boys Soccer team finished up the Fall 2024 season with an overall record of 3 wins, 11 losses, and 2 ties. Although we did not reach our team goal of reaching the postseason, our team showed vast improvement from August when we started practice to the middle of October when we wrapped up our schedule. Our roster was made up of 8 first year players with only 3 seniors, so we worked on individual soccer skills and teamwork led by our two captains, Clyde Drake and Fabian Gitt-Henderson. The team was competitive throughout the season and improve on our defense from last season. Our fullbacks and goalie—who were all underclassmen—kept us in every game. We also had balance with our team scoring with 10 different players being involved. It was great to see all the individual improvement from them working hard in practice to being used in games. Although we will miss our seniors, including Fabian who was selected for the Exceptional Senior Game, we are looking forward to the future as we will have 15 players return with Varsity experience. ~ Coach Preusser
