Thomas Brown
Math Teacher
Thomas started his career as a Mechanical Engineer for the Port Authority of NY and NJ. His teaching career started at the Kolburne School where he taught Math to high school students. He then taught Math, Science, and Language Skills at the Kildonan School to dyslexic students from second grade through twelfth grade. He enjoys empowering students by getting them to increase their confidence and to find their voices when it comes to education. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters of Science degree in Martial Arts. Thomas is also a Grand Master of Taekwondo. He is a certified seventh degree back belt, Master Instructor and Judge in Taekwondo by the Kukkiwon (one of the certifying bodies in Korea). He runs two martial arts schools, one in Great Barrington, MA and the other in Pittsfield, MA. Thomas enjoys traveling around the world with his wife and three children, learning about different counties and cultures and sharing his experiences and what he has learned with his students.
