PTA Coffee Hour

We are excited to partner with Hawthorne Valley Farm for our monthly Coffee Hours! Through the end of the school year, each Coffee Hour will begin with a time for refreshments, followed by a food-related workshop led by Juliana Santos, cooking class teacher and Lunch Program facilitator, and one of our amazing farmers. March 7, 8:15-9:30am: Championing Cabbage
Come learn about how to braise and ferment this hearty winter vegetable.

April 11, 8:15-9:30am: Radical Radish
In the workshop, Juliana will demonstrate various methods of preparing radishes, from pickling or dipping to siding and more.

May 2,8:15-9:30am: Dear Dandelion
Join Farmers Tessa and Betsy to walk a farm field and harvest dandelion to be made into Biodynamic Preparations to nourish the farm.

June 6, 8:15-9:30am: Green Goddess
Celebrate the first Spring greens and make dressings for the season.
